Water is everywhere; in the air, underground, on mountain tops, and in lakes and streams that flow to the ocean. The cycle of water is always moving. It is powered by the sun.

The Water Cycle WebQuest Task!
 
Each person in a group of four people has to pick a different job. They will have to research the websites as if they were doing that job. Look through the websites listed to find important information you will need to perform your task.
 
  1. You are a first grade teacher. You need to find information to teach a lesson on the water cycle to a first grade student.
  2. You are a Meteorologist (a weather person; like you see on the news). Your job is to find data you can use to that will be helpful in explaining key parts of your job. Some details you will need to explain are; how raindrops form and where does the water go after it rains?
  3. You are the captain of a riverboat. You take people on trips down the river. To do your job well you need to know a lot about rivers because people are always asking questions about their importance. Be sure you know why rivers are important and how they function. Find interesting details that you could share with someone who doesn't know anything about this important part of the water cycle.
  4. You work for the Environmental Protection Agency (or the E.P.A.). Your job is an important one, you help prevent people from polluting. To do your job well you need to know how dangerous pollutants can be spread by the water cycle.
